Today wasn’t too bad weather wise, in the mid 40’s so I decided to head out to the rail trail. I walked 2 miles and it felt good. I haven’t been there in a while for a walk or run, I need to do it more often.
I’ve been so busy with medical things, I haven’t really had a chance to post an update much less workout or run.
My grand-daughter and I were going to run a race, her first 5K, at the beginning of April. Well I guess Maryland’s weather is super weird as it snowed and had pretty heavy winds with sleet and rain. So, we skipped it. I did run with her though, she’s pretty good for a long distance.
I’ve recently had time to go back to the gym, while I’m not fond of running on the treadmill, I have been doing that a few times a week. I have been working on my upper and lower body strength as well as doing some exercises to help with my IT band issues.
I just registered for a 5K here in my area. My grand-daughter is 8 and wants to run with me. So, I registered her too!
I’m stoked to do this race with her, yay!
